This website has no account. It asks for your email in one place: the form for the free chapter. Like most websites, it is delivered by a hosting company, Cloudflare, whose systems process technical data such as your IP address so the page can reach you and stay secure.
A link from a video may carry a short label in the address that says which video you came from. The page passes that label along to the store and counts visits and clicks for each label, with no cookie and without storing your IP address. It is not linked to your name here.
We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to see how people use this page. Google sets cookies and receives technical data such as your IP address, browser and pages viewed, under its privacy policy. You can turn this off with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's cookie settings. We do not use this data to advertise to you.
Orders, free sheets and notices about the paperback are handled by Gumroad, which collects your email, payment details and other order information under its own privacy policy. We receive order details from Gumroad so we can deliver what you asked for, answer you and issue refunds. We do not see your full card number.
If you give us your email on the free chapter form, we send it, with the label of the video you came from if there is one, to Kit, the service that sends our letters, under its privacy policy. Kit emails you to confirm first. If you confirm, we use your email to send the chapter and our letters, and Kit records whether letters are opened or clicked so we can tell what is useful. We may keep a copy of the list ourselves in case we change services. Every letter has a one-click unsubscribe link. If Kit cannot take your request, the page sends you to Gumroad to get the chapter instead.
If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can answer you and process any refund. We use them for that and to improve the manual. We do not sell your information.
We keep order and support records for as long as we need them to serve you and meet legal and tax duties. You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at [email protected]. We will answer. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your state's law.
This website and the manual are meant for adults and are not directed to children under 13.
